Dear Susan and Catherine,
It has been many years from the last time I touched base with you. You probably have forgotten about this little guy we named Toby. I think he is 9 or 10 years old now (As he gets older, so do I !!!) I believe he was the runt of one of Cassie and Justice's litters. Rest assured, he is no runt now. He is 15+ lbs (gets it from Justice, I think) and remains as healthy and beautiful as the first day we got him. In his earlier years, he volunteered as a therapy dog and brought joy to many children at the Children's hospital here in Tulsa. Now, he just hangs out and brings joy to our lives every day. He is super intelligent, and will melt your heart with his sweet personality. Thanks so much for doing what you do.
Best Regards,
Steve Stetson

Subject: Thank you
Good morning Cathryn, I've been meaning to drop you a line for the past few months, today is the day.
I want to thank) you again for breeding such an amazing little Shih Tzu, my boy Brodie...
The reason I think it's important to thank you once again...I belong to a Facebook site called Everything Shih Tzu, Beemer's Buddies. There were several hundred members when I joined it earlier this year; now there are almost 4,000. It's a great site to post photos of your Shih Tzus (so you don't bore your family and friends with all your dog's cute antics). Members share food ideas; training; etc. No one is allowed to sell or buy.
But the reason it's important for me to let you know, is the fact that many, probably not overwhelmingly, but many of the members ask for help with health or behavioral issues. And, they get our unprofessional feedback.
But it dawned on me the other day what a GREAT dog Brodie is. He is healthy, he does not bite people, does not bark, does not have accidents in the house, does not have separation anxiety issues (who knew?), no longer eats poop (altho' he still seems interested at times), does not appear to have food allergies, or skin issues.
You should be proud of your puppies. I think you must be an exceptional breeder. So thank you again for my sweet/crazy little boy. If I wasn't so old, I'd even consider adding another to the mix,
Pat Rombyer, mother of Bandit, Brodie and our stray kitty, Autumn.

It's been 1 week since we brought Denver home and it has been wonderful! At almost 5 months old, he is soooo smart and attentive, which makes training much easier. He's had minimal accidents in the house which were my fault for not watching and listening. But I'm getting much better at seeing the signs and the good news is that he knows where to go, his few accidents happen right in front of the door! That little wimper he makes means "Hurry Momma! I gotta go!!"
Every day when I get home from work, one of the first things I do is put him on my lap and comb his beautiful hair. It is the most relaxing thing and helps me de-stress after a stressful day at work. He loves it too. If he were a cat, he'd purr... he struggles to keep his eyes open while I comb him out and every few minutes he'll sigh in content. I love him. Our visit to the vet went perfectly, she said he was a beautiful Shih Tzu with perfect markings... and of course he's in perfect health! He'll be neutered the Tuesday after Christmas, I'm off work that week so I'll be able to pamper him as he "recuperates." Yes, he's spoiled.
He is such an amazing little guy and I'm totally in love. Thank you so much for uniting him with our family!!

Thanks again for these 2 little beings that have made our life infinitely better! Hope you and your little ones are well! xo

Subject: MuGu's 2nd Birthday
Susan & Cathryn,
Yesterday our dear little MuGu celebrated his 2nd birthday (Lucie & Tzuname 4-10-08) and I just had to send you a note to say Thank You Again!.
You may recall that when we contacted you in the Spring of 2008 we had just lost our last 2 shih tzu babies within 3 weeks of each other and we were devastated. You and your kind gentle ways with your Shih Tzu babies won our hearts over and we began the process of "adopting" a new baby to fill the void.
David and I reflect on almost a weekly (sometimes daily) basis how such a little soul (MuGu weighs in at a little over 6 lbs) could fill such a big hole in our hearts! No matter what the day may throw at us, he puts a smile on our faces. He has the typical ornery but quite lovable Shih Tzu personality! He is the King of the house and he knows it! He rules our hearts and it is uncanny how he has picked up some of the most lovable traits of our last 2 babies, Kodi & Tino (I know they watch over him from Heaven).
For the first 18 months or so after he came to live with us, MuGu came to work with me every day. He soon become the center of everyone's heart at the office. As he "grew-up" he liked to stay at home where he can rule the roost from his over-sized comfy throne in the living room with all of his multitude of toys around him. So when I would get ready to leave for work he would run behind the sofa until I would leave the house and then as I pulled out of the garage, there he would be in the front window bidding me goodbye! At least once a month I have to bring him into the office just so everyone can get their "MuGu fix". He is by far the most loving little guy we have ever had the honor to have in our lives and that is saying a lot because our other guys meant the world to us as well.
I know that the love and care he received from you from the very beginning of his life has formed his incredibly social and human like behavior. There isn't a person he doesn't endear himself to and our world would be a much sadder, duller and lonelier place without him.
We can't thank you enough for your love and dedication to this special breed of furry babies. We hope to add another of your babies to our family in the future. (In fact, I almost called you about a little guy by the name of Teddy who was featured on your website until just a short time ago).
We are not picture takers but both of our daughters are so I promise to send you a photo of MuGu in the near future.
Patti (& David) M.

Just wanted you to know that Sam is doing so well. He gets along fabulously with Zoey and Dodger. I was walking the three of them yesterday and a woman pulled over in her car and got out to talk to me because she admired my dogs. I told her that two had come from the same breeder in Indiana, she assumed that I had them shipped to NJ. I said I would NEVER do that to a dog, and that we had driven to pick them up. She said that it must be a special breeder and I said YES!!! What is a 10 hour drive when you are getting another member of the family. Plus the ride home is a great bonding time!!! So just a belated thank you for doing such a great job in raising exceptionally healthy, good looking, and most of all personable puppies!!

Cathryn and Susan - I spent countless months surfing the net to find that "Perfect" puppy. I went to breeders in my area and didn't like what I saw. When I came across Tucker (formerly known as Andy), I fell in love. He was exactly what I was looking for. He was worth the drive.
In speaking with both of you, I knew that your dogs would be head and shoulders above the rest, because of the love that you have for them.
Tucker has only been with us a few days, but he has won over everyone in the house (especially my husband, who said we didn't need another dog.....). His big Shih tzu brothers, Max and Cooper are having a blast having Tucker chase them around the house and yard. He has this HUGE personality for such a little guy.
I want to thank you and tell anyone else reading this that you are, by far, the best breeders I have ever come across. Anyone who is hesitant about purchasing a puppy via a website should go to Casan's. The quality of your puppies is the best.
If there is another Shih tzu in my future, you can rest assured it will come from you. (Good thing you didn't bring Sophie, or I would have come home with 2 puppies).
Thanks again and I wish you both nothing but the best!

We can't begin to tell you the personality and sweetness of Casans shih tzu. They're unbelievable - and the reason we keep coming back - irresistable!! We took little Bogity, Bogity, Bogie (as we call him) home on July 8 and within 4 weeks he was fully potty-trained.
Thank you again, Cathryn and Susan for another wonderful baby - this was quite a surprise! But then again, the last 3 babies have been a surprise - kinda like an unplanned pregnancy!! Hi Susan and Cathryn,
I just wanted to send you a note to thank you both for not only being wonderful breeders, but for giving us our sweet, sweet little girl Taffi. Although we came to look at a little black and white boy, we came home with our gold and white girl!! She won our hearts and she was MEANT to come home with us. It's amazing to me how these things happen. You just KNOW when it's right and we knew that Taffi was meant to be ours.
Taffi has the sweetest disposition of any dog we have ever owned. She is happy all the time and she has not given us one ounce of problems in the 6 days we have had her. Even sneaking her into the hotel room on Saturday night was a breeze. She didn't make a sound and she slept all night in her carrier. She even went potty on the wee wee pads like a good little girl. What an angel!!
Our two Yorkie girls and our Maltese boy have not yet warmed up to her and she DESPERATELY wants one of them to play with her. I feel so badly because she is such a sweetheart but I have to let the older ones welcome her into the 'pack' at their own pace. I know it won't be long until we are one, big, happy family!
If you are looking to buy a Shih Tzu, look no further than Casan's Quality Shih Tzu. Susan and Cathryn are wonderful, caring breeders who KNOW what they are doing and I guarantee that you will truly get a quality dog like their name implies who will be sweet and well adjusted. Their love for the breed is obvious and you will not be disappointed.
Thank you again for our beautiful little girl.

We absolutely love her. We know when we are looking for another Shih Tzu, we will definitely get in touch with you. You are wonderful people and I cannot tell you how touched we are that you take such good care of all the Shih Tzu in your homes. I also want to thank you for all the goodies you gave us as we were leaving. You are so thoughtful. It was a real pleasure to meet you. I only wish we lived closer. Since Tashi is growing, the Pet Champion Harness you gave us in our goodie bag is now too small. We purchased one at PetSmart but it is not the quality of the one you provided. Can you please tell me where you get your harnesses? How is Sassy? I bet she is beautiful too. I love the picture of Buddy on the website. I don't think I can handle three Shih Tzu at this time or Buddy would be in our home. He is adorable. I will send pictures of Tashi soon. She is beautiful!!!

I have two Casan's dogs and they are the most amazing little ones ever. I was lucky enough to find their website about 3 years ago, when they had just had a Niki x Justice litter. I fell head over heels in love with one little girl and that is how Sophie came into my life. About a month after I got her, I knew I needed another pup. So last summer, when Niki had Justice's pups again, I picked out a little boy and named him Gus. Sophie is my prim little princess and Gus is a complete rascal who is happiest cradled in my arms, sleeping.
They are truly the cutest dogs ever. Everyone they meet is instantly enamored with them. People shout at me from across the street wanting to pet them! They are so full of love and character and every moment with them is a joy.
If you are looking for an amazing companion, look no further. To be a part of the Casan's world is absolutely a gift. These little dogs are bright, funny and endlessly entertaining. Thank you Susan and Cathryn for giving me my little loves!!

My sister, Carol and I now have between us, 7 Shih Tzus - 6 from Casan's. I have 3 beautiful boys, Norbu (Jewel) is black with a white bib, Khandro (Angel) is a beautiful blond, and my baby Tenzing is tri-colored. Allwear full coats except Tenzing, who never learned to like being groomed. Carol has Tashi (Bringer of Good Fortune), a 7 pound fawn female and Ketu and Jamling - brother and sister who each weigh about 3 pounds and who just turned one year old! I just finished baby sitting all seven while my sister was away on a trial ---- let me tell you, it was a circus every single day and night! Add to the 6 Casan's puppies Lillibet, the matriarch of the group, who turns 12 this May and you have the menagerie.
