Cathryn and Susan: It's was great visiting with the two of you yesterday and picking up our new baby girt Lexi. We are sharing a few pictures of our stunning Casey and Lexi taken at Susan's house, during the car ride home and today at our house. Casey and Lexi are playing well together, and Lexi has already adjusted to going outside to take care of her business. You were absolutely correct, Lexi is outstanding. What a great Valentine present.

Thank you for the opportunity to add Casey's half-sister to our family. This beautiful pair of Shih Tzus are certainly show stoppers.

Hi Susan,

We have exciting news for you. Maggie (Cede x Mikey) & Ruby (Rosie X Archie) attended the Humane Society of Johnson County 2009 Paw Pounder event yesterday (with Mom & Dad, of course), and Maggie won FIRST PLACE in the "Smart Dog Trick" category! She made Mom & Dad very proud (especially Dad). Maggie & Ruby are so beautiful, they attract quite a bit of attention when they're in a crowd. Ruby is becoming a lovely young lady, with quite a outgoing personality, if you get what we mean. She is every bit of the "wild child" you said she would be. We love it!! She is the perfect companion for Maggie.

We love the Shih Tzu and feel a deep responsibility to maintain the integrity of this wonderful breed. We know that there are many, many people who are now familiar with, own, or know people who own a Shih Tzu. It is our belief that healthy, well socialized, beautiful AKC Shih Tzu puppies should be available to anyone who chooses to love this very special breed. We have dedicated ourselves, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to loving, maintaining and breeding the best Shih Tzu we can. It is our desire to provide healthy, well-socialized, beautiful Shih Tzu puppies to as many people as we can. As responsible Shih Tzu Breeders, we feel a tremendous responsibility to each dog we have, and each puppy we bring into the world. We have an application process because we MUST feel confident that each of our puppies is going to be loved and cared for in the manner we require and find acceptable... nothing is more important to us than the welfare of our Shih Tzu puppies and the subsequent happiness we are able to share with others.

We own and keep ALL of our Shih Tzu (males and females) in our homes...we only sell Shih Tzu puppies which are the result of our own breedings...all our adult Shih Tzu and puppies are AKC Registered.l We are always proud to state the dam and sire of our puppies...and we love showing you pictures of our moms with their new babies...they are always so proud!

PLEASE...NEVER, EVER BUY A PUPPY FROM A PET STORE...THEY ARE THE REASON PUPPYMILLS EXIST!!! Always buy from a reputable breeder...breeders who care enough to take the time to find loving homes for their own puppies. Reputable breeders will never sell their puppies to or through a pet store or broker, no matter what a pet store owner or employee may tell you. We urge you to educate yourselves on the heartbreaking and horrendous conditions the mothers and fathers of these puppies are forced to live in. As you have done a search for "Breeders", also do a search for "Pet Store Puppies" and "Puppy Mills". There are animal lovers and animal abusers...its the responsibility of us all to eliminate the abusers.

**A Broker is anyone who sells puppies for someone else for a profit, or anyone who buys puppies (from anyone, but usually a puppymill) and resells them. They are required, by law, to have a USDA license to do this.
